no 's with Jetpack markdown and wpautop

    I have Jetpack installed. It’s able to create headings and lists, but not paragraphs. I’m using remove_filter(‘the_content’, ‘wpautop’); in my functions.php file because of other parts of the theme, but I’m not getting any <p> tags generated in posts.

    Has anyone experienced this? Do you need wpautop to use markdown?

    If you remove wpautop, that’s also going to remove paragraphs from text generated with Markdown as well. We built the Markdown module to respect WordPress’ wpautop settings.
