    I’ve tried 4.1.1 and 4.2. FreeBSD 10 host, mysql 5.6, apache 2.4. php 5.6

Installation goes OK, Login as admin, go to settings, and select Writing, no problem, blue save settings button at bottom.

Go to Settings -> General, and it displays a partial page up to the timezone selection box, then httpd spins up, and burns CPU for 40 seconds or so, then the rest of the page gets displayed, but no Save Settings button at the bottom.

I’ve tried clean installs of 4.1, and 4.2, no themes, no plugins, fresh databases, etc. I am stumped. I’m not sure what is going on.

Only error is in httpd-error.log that the script as exceeded the maximum execution time of 60 seconds in compat.php on line 30.

Maybe I need to disable UTF8 or somesuch.

    Any ideas appreciated.
