• I really need help. I have a WordPress site of my own: https://www.technoholiconweb.tk . Earlier I was using Weebly, and my site was being reached very easily using Google, but as soon as I switched to WordPress, Google doesn’t show my site even if I search “technoholiconweb” instead of searching just “technoholic”(which wasn’t the case earlier) . How to solve this issue, please don’t reply with some links because I have already read many of them..they don’t help. Yeah, I am also using plugins like Platinum SEO Pack, Jetpack, Google Plus Authorship and Google XML Sitemaps.

  • Do you have a Google account? If so, go to Webmaster tools, get your site verified, submit a sitemap and wait for your site being indexed. This is a problem that you have too seek answers from Google, NOT WordPress.

Yeah I do have a Google account and have connected it to Webmaster tools, I have also fetched the page (as google) and submitted it to site index, but it didn’t help.. I think it’s a problem of meta tags or something. And…can you pls send me the link to contact google support? ..because I tried to contact google but they don’t have any direct way (like a form, etc) ??

..and thanks Krishna for so fast reply.

You can go to your webmaster tools account and verify all the messages, objections, errors, etc. noted there and use the help pages/ forums there. Only those can help you for questions on indexing and other matters. Or, read some good articles on SEO. Make a Google search and study a little bit of SEO.

I am sorry, I cannot give you a more detailed reply here, as the question is NOT a WordPress question.

How long ago did you cut over to self-hosted WP? Google doesn’t pick everything up in real time.

I switched around 1.5 months back.

    That should be enough time.

I just Googled that URL and it did show up in results. So it looks like Google has indexed it; the site simply doesn’t have good SERP.

This result shows that none of your pages are indexed by Google.

Now check these at your end:
-In settings (reading) make sure that you have enabled Search Engine Visibility
-Ensure that you do not use noindex, nofollow in your SEO settings, sitewide as well as for individual posts, pages, etc.
-Check your robots.txt file and make sure that you don’t disallow crawling/indexing by SE bots.

I agree, I don’t see anything at the moment but I swear it was there when I did it just prior to Krishna!

    @Gabe Young,
It happens sometimes and it’s OK! ??
Now, look at my suggestions above. We have nothing to do until the OP does something to correct the mistakes – if any – I pointed out above.

Actually it’s https://technoholiconweb.tk instead of https://www.technoholiconweb.tk ?? ..and Krishna thanks for that! …I think I require more traffic.

OK, take a look here. What real WordPress related problem do you find now? Remember, indexing, ranking, traffic, etc. are done by search engines NOT WordPress.
