    Hi @denemite

Thanks for leaving your review. It feels a bit tough to mark down my plugin because it doesn’t have all the features that you want. I think it would be fine to mark it down if it claimed to have those features but they didn’t work, for example, but less so for features it doesn’t claim to have.

There are a number of really search plugins for WordPress, not to mention the built-in search function. I found Custom Search (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/custom-search-plugin/) after a quick Google. And there are several others. It’s not always possible or advisable to keep cramming features into a plugin if those features are available elsewhere.

Sticky topics are, as I advised you on your support ticket, something I’m looking at. Again, it’s just not practical for me to include all the features that people may or may not want, at least not straightaway.

It sounds like the issue you are seeing with your sidebar is related to your theme. This plugin creates ‘topics’ which are a custom post type so it’s not possible or beneficial to try to display them as pages. The reason that you can’t get rid of your sidebar is purely down to your theme – it’s nothing to do with this plugin.

Finally, as I said, it feels hard to give this plugin such a negative review – particularly as I don’t think you’ve given me chance to address any questions you might have. You’ve posted one support ticket then seemingly not waited for a response before posting this review. I’m happy to answer any questions you might have about the plugin but please consider changing the rating you’ve given it.

    Thanks

    Gareth
