• Hi

I’ve created a “Property Search” page and set it as the results page in the settings but I get no properties returned whether I leave all search options unselected. The only way I can get to my test properties is to create a page and insert the [properties] shortcode on it. Any idea why this might be? Properties are set to “on the market”.

Also, I tried the “Make Enquiry” link and it just returns a “there was an error” message. I tried going into the Enquiries menu and it says “You are not allowed to edit posts in this post type”. This is vanilla WP install (latest) running on my localhost with just the latest PH plugin installed.

    Help appreciated.

    Thanks
    Isaac

    Hi Isaac,

You certainly shouldn’t need to add the properties shortcode to get this to work out of the box.

My first thought would be that you have the department wrong. For example, you have ‘Residential Sales’ set as the default department in settings, but the properties entered are lettings properties.

If that’s not the case, is it possible for you to email through some login details so I can take a look? Might be easier than trying to guess ?? You can email them through to [email protected].

As for the enquiry issues, we have actually recently become aware of these issues and are currently putting a fix in place.

Look forward to hearing from you

    Hi

My dev is on my local box so opening it up to the internet would be problematic. Fortunately you got me on the right track and this appears to be a minor bug.

I had disabled lettings right from the start, before creating any properties as I’m only doing sales. From what you’d said I went back and enabled lettings in the settings and then my properties were visible on the search page. I disabled lettings again and they remained visible and a newly added property is visible too. Seems like it was some kind of “initialisation” bug you may want to try and recreate at some point to troubleshoot.

    Thanks for your help
    Isaac

P.S. Did you get the email I sent you last week about forms, repeatable fields, custom fields etc? Was from [email protected]
