    Hi there!
I just installed Relevanssi on a website having a huge number of entries in a certain custom post type. On the plugin options, I activated this custom type and built the index and I can see the index is correct in the admin page. But when I try searching for a word that is actually on the index, I get a “nothing found” message. Worst – when I try searching for a word that is on a post or on a page, I get a server error.

By the way, I’m using Custom Post Type UI and Advanced Custom Fields, along with a few other plugins. I tried a few themes and the problem persists.

Thanks in advance for your help!

How much is “huge number of entries”? That may be part of the problem, especially the part with the server error.

    About 1500.

Ok, that’s not huge, and probably not the problem.

I don’t know, it’s hard to say without seeing the site and taking a look at the code.

No it’s not that huge but it’s enough to be a very important part of the website!

    Here’s the link:
https://www.damasketdentelle.com/home/?s=design (the keyword “design” should show 119 results according to the top 25 words).

Thank you so much for your help!

Ah, that’s not a “search results not found” error, that’s a “page not found” error. Looks like your theme is completely missing the search results template.

That’s right, it’s another problem… My actual search result page looks like this: https://www.damasketdentelle.com/?s=design

Ok, for that server error I’d need to know the actual error in order to help. Are you able to access the server error logs?

    Finally got the log!

2014/03/11 12:55:13 [error] 8258#0: *702175 FastCGI sent in stderr: “PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function is_translated_post_type() on a non-object in /home/clients/rf1256/public_html/www.damasketdentelle.com/wp-content/plugins/relevanssi/lib/common.php on line 15”

Looks like it creates conflicts with the translation plugin. I’m using Polylang.

Hmm, Relevanssi should be compatible with Polylang. Try downloading the development version from this page. Does that help?

My bug is with Polylang and not with Relevanssi. Sorry for bothering you and thank you very much for the support!
