    Hi,

If I have Shield security (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-simple-firewall/) User Management module enabled, when I try to switch users Shield forces a logout because it can’t detect a valid user session. I’ve contacted Shield and they respond that it is an issue with View Admin As.

Is there a chance that you can look at this issue to see if there is a fix?

    Thanks,
    -Norm

    Hi @normsash

This is simply how View Admin As works.
I use the user session to keep track of the original user.

I’m not familiar with this firewall plugin. I use Wordfence myself without issues.

As this is a core functionality of this plugin I am not sure if these plugins will ever be compatible due to the nature of how they are built.

You might try User Switching. This plugin actually changes your cookies so it might work with this firewall plugin.
Alternatively you could switch to Wordfence or Sucuri for firewall functionality which will work with this plugin.

If you absolutely need both plugins to work together then please contact me on GitHub so we can discuss this further. This is out of scope for support.

    Cheers, Jory

Hi Jory, thanks for the reply.

I’ve tried the other plugins, and frankly, yours is simply the best! The features and operation are just great.

I did add a note to the GitHub subject issue for Shield. In the event that you do look at this issue I’d be glad to help in any way I can (though I’m not a developer so couldn’t help that way.)

    Hi @normsash

Thank you for your kind words ??
I’m sorry I cannot help you further at the moment.
If I do think of a solution on this issue I will definitely opt-in on GitHub to continue on this.
    Can you share the link?

    Cheers, Jory
