No Shipping Method Found

    I am trying to set up a system to authorize a sale, then add shipping, then capture the credit cart charge.

    Flummoxed on what shipping zone, class, etc. to use. We also want to offer free shipping on orders over $75. (Only shipping to USA.)

    I can set up a class called “To be determined” but can’t add this class to the zone. Unless I mark a product as Virtual, the cart says there are no shipping options.

    Any advice much appreciated.

    I think I came up with a solution but will leave this post up.

    What I did was add the Flat Rate shipping method to my zone, then modify the name of it to “To Be Determined” and set the fee to zero. I don’t get an error messaage any more. This works in conjuntion with the free shipping. SInce I only had the free shipping over $75 enabled, I needed to add another method for smaller orders.

    I can confirm this behavior is what we’d typically expect of shipping methods. A shipping method is required for all orders that contain physical products. All products are considered physical unless they are configured as Virtual.

    I’m going to mark this thread as resolved now.
