    Hello!

We use this plugin currently and it works perfectly fine with the shipping zone it was set up in that offers buyers free shipping or UPS rates, but today we decided to create a new shipping zone that excludes free shipping and only offers UPS rates.

We created the new zone and set the location to United States. We added the UPS method to the zone and cloned the settings from our original shipping zone. We then created a new Shipping Class for products that will only offer UPS and not free shipping.

When testing this new class, it should only show UPS rates because the zone only has UPS in it, but instead, our test product (with correct weight & dimensions) only says “No shipping options were found”.

    What are we doing incorrectly?

    Hi @joyryde,
Thanks for reaching us. I’ll be happy to assist.
Can You please send me a few screenshots of your settings:

    – one showing your Shipping Zones window, where I could see all the shipping zones that You created.
    – one showing the Shipping Zone created for the United States location
    – one showing UPS shipping method configuration window (UPS shipping method created in the US zone)
Can you please advise in what country your store is located?

As for the shipping classes, unfortunately, the UPS plugin doesn’t support them which means that you can’t restrict the UPS shipping method availability to a certain shipping class.

    Kind regards,
    Wojtek

    Hi @joyryde,
Thanks for the screenshots. If You create two shipping zones with the same Zone region (the United States in Your case), the first shipping zone from the top will always be used when the customer enters the US shipping address. This means that the shipping methods created in the first shipping zone should have been displayed to the customers on the checkout page. You can learn more about sorting the shipping zones from this article https://woocommerce.com/document/setting-up-shipping-zones/
I believe that the reason for getting the “No shipping options were found …” message might be different than the settings of your second shipping zone.
Therefore can you please enable the debug mode for UPS plugin as I will need some additional information?

You can enable the UPS plugin’s Debug mode by ticking its checkbox at Woocommerce > Settings > Shipping > UPS Live Rates > Enable debug mode and save the changes with the button at the bottom of the screen. Once it’s enabled please reach the shop’s front, add the product with a new class to the cart and enter the US shipping destination address. You will see the debug mode’s custom notices on the blue background at the top of the cart/checkout page. Use the Copy Content to clipboard button for both – UPS API Request and UPS API Response sections, paste their contents to the text files and please send them to me as an attachment.
Please also let me know if You are getting an error message in the red table once enabled the debug mode.

    Thank You

    Wojtek

    Hello!

I think I was able to get it to work, I created a new zone called Hawaii & Alaska and put it above the existing Free Shipping zone.

Now that it’s ABOVE the original zone, it’s automatically not showing the free shipping option to Hawaii and Alaska zip codes, and only shows UPS rates…so we should be good to go!

    Thank you
