I ended up fixing this myself. If you happen to come across this post, what happened is WooCommerce was also generating it’s own GA code, and it interfered with the Enhanced code generated by the plugin. SImply disable WooCommerce’s GA tickbox, and use the one in this plugin’s admin section.

    Hey.

I’m struggling so much with this. When you say disable the woocommerce GA tickbox. Where is that please?

It’s in the WooCommerce > Settings > Integrations tab. You’ll see Enhanced Ecommerce Google Analytics | Google Analytics. Under the EEGA section, uncheck “Add Universal Analytics Tracking Code (Optional)” and “Add Display Advertising Feature Code (Optional)”. Make sure the next two are checked.

Under the Google Analytics section, you can check all the boxes, but at least make sure the first three are checked.

Thanks. I didn’t have the GA tab on integration but I’ve disabled the Universal checkbox on the EEGA one thank you! If I do a payment through bacs/cheque would it track it or does it have to be a paypal/credit card payment. Also, how long does it take for tracking to show on GA?

Sorry for all the questions. ??

Make sure you have WooCommerce 2.1 or newer. Otherwise, you must install this: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woocommerce-google-analytics-integration/ It will enable the tab you’re missing.

I’m not familiar with that payment type, so I don’t know how tracking works for that. As far as GA itself, it sometimes takes several hours for tracking data to start populating initially.

    Hi ivebeangrounded,

Transactions are tracked by our plugin, whenever user lands on Thank you page, irrespective of the payment method used. If any particular payment method, does not redirect user back to thank you page of your website, that transaction wont be sent to GA.

Regarding time taken for data to appear in GA, it depends on site traffic. However, maximum, it would take maximum 24 hours.

Please do let us know in case of further questions.

I am using the Avada theme and the page is labelled Order-received and not thank you, will this affect the plugin?
