    When I hit the “Insert fusion Shortcode” icon in my page editing screens, I get taken to a screen that says “Choose a shortcode” There is a little down-arrow there. I click the down-arrow and nothing happens. I’ve been trying to solve this for weeks now.
    I am now using the Tempera theme, but had the same problem with a previous theme I tried – that was called Avada.

    what plugin are you using for those shortcodes?

    None that I know of. All I know there used to be shortcodes there at one time and now they’re gone.
    By the way, the site is https://kiwireads.org/

    Sorry for late response. Just been away from home in the big city, updating to a brand new computer system, which I brought home with me. Windows 7 as I’d heard scary stuff about Windows 8

    ‘infusion shortcodes’ are not WordPress default shortcodes, so they should either come from the used theme, or from a plugin.

    they also might be a relic of the ‘avada’ theme;
    try contacting the developer of that theme for support.

    I asked the Avada crew but got no help whatever. I gave up on the Avada theme and switched to Tempera. I think if they came from a theme it must have been the free one I had to begin with, because they disappeared when I was using Avada.

    What I’m wanting right now is some shortcode to create columns, so I downloaded the columns plug-in from the link below and activated it but still no sign of any shortcodes in the shortcode screen.
