    This is my sidebar.php, I don’t know what’s missing or what shouldn’t be there, but in the widgets menu it says I have none defined.

    <!-- BEGIN SIDEBAR -->
    			<div class='sidebar'>
    			<ul id='sidebar'>
    			<?php /* Widgetized sidebar, if you have the plugin installed. */
    					if ( !function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') || !dynamic_sidebar() ) : ?>
    			<li id='search'><h2>Search</h2>
    				<?php include (TEMPLATEPATH . '/searchform.php'); ?>
    			</li>

    			<!-- Author information is disabled per default. Uncomment and fill in your details if you want to use it.
    			<li><h2>Author</h2>
    			A little something about you, the author. Nothing lengthy, just an overview.

    			</li>
    			-->

    			<?php if ( is_404() || is_category() || is_day() || is_month() ||
    						is_year() || is_search() || is_paged() ) {
    			?> <li>

    			<?php /* If this is a 404 page */ if (is_404()) { ?>

    I don’t quite understand what you are saying. What should it be then? I’ve looked at other tutorials and they all say to add that to the functions.php. Should it say ‘dynamic_sidebar’ ?
