• Ok, this is quite extrange and disappointing.

I had my UpdraftPlus central Plugin installed on one of my websites. And suddenly, all my sites disappeared (I had more than 10). The “No Sites” text was shown. But I didn’t delete mine! Where were they? I remember I looked at the database… but didn’t remember if at that time the records where there or not.

I struggled a little, what to do… I had been doing some things on the site, so I didn’t wanted to rollback all. So I decided to set up a separated installation so I didn’t have that problem again. (I could easily rollback).

The direct backup from my site didn’t work, I think because the connection is made to the concrete url subdomain or something. So, ok, I deleted all the sites and created them again.

And now, some days later… It happened again! I can’t see any sites. I get the “No sites have yet been set up”. And now I just checked, and they are on the database.

Tried to restore another database, but didn’t work. Still the same issue.

I have the twentynineteen theme, with a child, tried without it.

I have at the moment no other plugins installed, but UpdraftPlus Backups, and UpdraftPlus Central.

    Any ideas??

Thanks for the help, and for the plugin, it saves a lot of time.

Are you sure you’re logged in as the same user? Sites belong to particular users.

Are there any errors in the browser’s JavaScript console?

Ok, I just found out this and I guess it is indeed the problem.

I had only one on the original site, but changed the username for security reasons.

On the new site, I created a new user, because I restaured the other database first to check if I was able to recover the sites, and didn’t want the same login info. So I guess I must keep the user, if I don’t want to lose access to the sites again?

Is there no way to migrate the sites to the new user?

If you’re comfortable with editing a database directly, you can edit the user IDs in the updraftcentral_sites table.

We’re currently working on an “export / import” feature. The export is just finishing final testing. (Import not yet got that far).

Thanks! I will look into this. I think I can manage.
