No space between tags

Same problem here. Any ideas how to solve?

I have this same problem, but add tag <span>, and class name.
date_tag=span date_class=catlist_detail author=yes author_tag=span author_class=catlist_detail

After that I edit my CSS:
span.catlist_detail {
margin-left:5px;
font-size: 12px;
font-style:italic;
}

it worked perfectly. thanks
