• This is a recent problem that began two weeks ago. Whenever I’m editing a WordPress draft, spaces appear between each paragraph. When I preview it however, the text is a solid block, with no spaces between paragraphs.

In my last two posts, I’ve had no spaces between paragraphs during editing. In order to publish, I had to go through line-by-line with the remove formatting tool, which became a mind-bending exercise.

I’m working on a draft now that –again– shows spaces between paragraphs in the edit window, but in preview or published, appear only as solid blocks of text.

Have you tried deactivating ALL plugins and switching to a default theme? Please do so now.

Where is a post that shows this?

Okay, I cannot show you a published post to demonstrate this issue because publishing anything that has a solid block of text is unacceptable. I can only refer you to a workaround I came up with in his most recent post.

At the very bottom, you’ll notice a bog bold, “…and finally” (Heading 2). I chose to use Heading 2 rather than Paragraph, in which the only way creative space between the text. Fortunately, it worked out and looks okay.

What I’m dealing with today while editing my next post is the same problem. Hitting return produces no space between paragraphs.

And do you have this problem in a default theme with all plugins deactivated?

First talk to your theme’s vendors about this issue.
