• Why isn’t an SSL Certificate installed with the temp site? I migrated it over, I understand that the SSL Cert doesnt migrate with the rest of the site, so I would assume Siteground would install a new one? Am I missing something here? Thank you for any suggestions.

Then I received an email that said “you can preview your migrated site here” that was a long siteground url, but when I clicked on it it took me to the live site (I havent pointed the domain to siteground yet), so why is the temp url redirecting to the live non-siteground hosted site?

    Hello @cgl102770,

    Thank you for the feedback.

The temporary URL provided after a successful migration is a medium to check the migrated website and its content in case post-migration adjustments are required. The page is available for a limited time and its focused for priviate use only. Updating the URL in the request and using HTTPS is still possible as the page will load via a secure connection. Nevertheless, I will ask our developers to take a look if we could integrate this minor update in plugin.

Regarding the redirect issue I think you have a setup in the WordPress that utilize wp-config defines or a plugin/htaccess redirects. This forces the website to load only from a specific domain regardless from the URL you access it.

    Best Regards,
