No stripe gateway or WP Simple Pay option for purchases

The way to work with any integration in GamiPress is really easy.

When you setup a points type (https://gamipress.com/docs/tutorials/creating-a-points-type/) inside ityou are able to define the points awards rules

For example, you can create the points type “Gem” and inside add a rule like “+10 gems for comment on a post”, and this rule will make that user will earn 10 of this points for every comment they make

Now, at the moment you install a GamiPress integration, you will see that there is a list of “New events”, those events can be used in the points awards rules as a way to award or deduct points to the user

For the WP Simple Pay integration, you have new events related to the completion of a purchase, so you can define in your points type a rule like:
+10 points for complete a purchase through any form
To automatically award 10 points when user completes a purchase in WP Simple Pay

Now, if you want, for example, be more specific with the rules, for example, you want to reward 100 points when they complete a purchase through the form “Purchase points”

You can setup a more specific points award rule like:
+100 points for complete a purchase through “Purchase points” form

The same can be applied to other plugins like WooCommerce, where you can setup a points award rule like:
+100 points for purchase the product “Product A”

Thank you for your reply.

The issue I am facing is the WP Simple Pay integration just give me one new event: renew a subscription. I don’t have any form related event.

If I install WooCommerce, no issue, I can configure the points as I want and I have many new events in the points attribution.

The thing is I don’t need WooCommerce for what I am doing, so I would like to use WP Simple Pay to have something lighter.

Did I miss something in the setup?

You’re completely right, our team just released a new update fixing this issue so after update our WP Simple Pay integration all events should get listed correctly

Thank you for your message and I am glad my message helped.

I can now see the 3 events related to WP Simple Pay. Unfortunately, it is not working properly, but it seems to be more an issue with WP Simple Pay and using stripe in test mode. The transactions seem to operate and are confirmed into stripe dashboard, but some webhooks events are into failed status because the host cannot be reached. The result is no points are added to my test user after the transaction.

I will give another try tomorrow to see if I can make it works with a new test setup.

You can help me by confirm if I am right or wrong: if I use WP Simple Pay to add stripe payment, it is only through a form. Based on what I read, it won’t add a stripe gateway into the Purchases plugin right? For Purchases plugin I can only use paypal and SEPA payment, so if want to use stripe only, I cannot use the Purchases plugin, correct?

Great! About the payments issue, you may need to check the connection between WP Simple Pay and Stripe.

About the last question, I’m sorry but adding a payment gateway to WP Simple Pay will not add it in our Purchases add-on

We have in our roadmap include Stripe in our Purchases add-on, so we hope to get it ready in the near future (not ETA yet)

Thank you for your answer, now it is clear to me.

I still have issues with WP Simple Pay so I will just give up. I don’t have issues with Woocommerce, the points system works well with it so I will go this way.
