No styling on category or tag pages

I’m having the same issue as was raised here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/category-page-no-style-sheet/ – have commented there but not sure if better to submit a new thread as it’s unresolved and the OP hasn’t replied.

No styling is showing on the category page or the tag page – i.e. those of format:

https://www.example-site.com/events/category/example-category-name
https://www.example-site.com/events/tag/example-tag-name

I’ve got links of that type added to both the primary (top) nav and via the event category list widget – when I click on them there, or through the categories or tags shown on each single event page, it takes me to unstyled pages.

All other pages style correctly (e.g. single event, calendar, venue, etc.), it’s only these two types that have no styling.

I have theme compatibility mode enabled.

The site isn’t published yet so I can’t share a link – should I add screenshots?

Also, is there a value I can use in a shortcode to display just recurring events?
