Up until recently WP Jobs Manager was working fine. Now it seems that members can view the job submission form but they only have an option to “save draft” – no submit – and once saved the job shows up in the backend but admins do not get notified to approve the job and there’s no “approve” button. We have admin approval turned on. Admins can edit and publish, but this used to be much more streamlined and intuitive. I’ve checked our settings, and I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin.

Can someone confirm that this is a change in the plugin rather than a bug in our installation? Or how to fix this so that the user can submit and then admins approve again?

    Hi @dberch !

Are you running any role management plugins that could be interfering with standard WP Job Manager functions?

What you described is not a standard WP Job Manager behavior so the first step in figuring it out would be to disable other plugins and switch the theme to one of the WordPress default Twenty-xxx ones and see what happens.

Hi @bindlegirl . This is a membership site so we’re running PaidMembershipPro with a number of addons. Certain pages on the site are locked to “logged in users” with specific membership levels – the Jobs Submission page is one of those pages. I tried removing the membership criteria though and the submission still only lets me save drafts, no actual submit button appears. The membership section of the site is critical – I can’t disable that for any long period of time. I can try cloning the site onto a dev environment and switching to a different theme without the PaidMembershipPro plugins. Any other suggestions?

That’s always a good way to start debugging WordPress issues. Have you managed to figure this out?
