“The free version of Polylang is not supported by the author. ”

Then the plugin should be pulled… Full stop!

@holo-alan Where did you get this sentence?

Please keep in mind, a free plugin is made in the authors spare time. To expect he or she has also to give support is not fair. The community, which is getting the work for free, is responsible to help each other.
If the plugin is not working for you and you are not able to get it up and running, you can choose another one.

Nevertheless the author is answering posts so many times here, so you can not say he is not supporting the plugin.
If you need more support than you get here, you should invest some money, buy the PRO version and get the PRO support directly.

    Think about this! Full stop!

@lachender_engel you’re somehow right but if there are bugs or issues with the plugin, it’s better if they updated it or gave support for it.

Let’s take Shopify as an example. Having a WordPress website doesn’t mean you are earning money. Having a Shopify store does mean that you’re either earning money or about to earn BUT still, there are many Shopify apps for free and with support included (I am talking about apps made by the community for FREE, not the Shopify’s devs that are already getting $$$ from the monthly subscription).

So let have it like that “Free support for bugs and issues”, “Pro support for specific questions about customization and other stuff”.

I really liked this plugin because it’s free and has everything I need, the only problem is that I found a bug that makes it not working properly (useless).

@holo-alan Your comment does not make any sense. Do you need any help or not?

… the only problem is that I found a bug that makes it not working properly (useless).

@mehdibmm if you are sure you have found a bug, you should report it on GitHub. If you can provide steps to reproduce the bug, I’m sure the author will take care of it and fix it.

@mehdibmm Mostly the problem is in front of the computer because the user is not reading the instructions or is not understanding how Polylang works.

If you found a bug, and you report it with steps to reproduce it, the author will fix it. This is sure.

A lot of people expect permium support in 5 minutes without giving the right informations. For example: “The Plugin brokes my site. How can I fix it?”. Which kind of support would you give this user?
Do you understand?! The author provides a plugin for free. So, it is a way of respect not to waste his time or the time of the community with those topics.
