I’ve created 2 hierarchical taxonomies and attached them to 2 custom post types that have been created by another plugin.

When I view the post list on the backend the taxonomies are shown in the columns, but there’s not a filter drop-down that you get with categories.

Is this correct, or am I missing something? If it is correct, would it be possible to add this functionality?

    Cheers

I’m not sure that’s something that is handled during the taxonomy registration, to be honest. I’m not seeing anything for that type of thing in the codex page for register_taxonomy. I’m sure it’s possible, just not looking like it’s possible with the parts our plugin tries to cover.

Another one looking forward for a solution
Will be nice to show the taxonomies dropdown for my custon category the same way the “Categories” dropdown appears in the posts lists

Unless it’s a parameter for register_taxonomy that I’m not seeing, it’s probably not going to be something I try to cover in the plugin. That’s ultimately the goal for CPTUI, to get the post types and taxonomies registered. What for and how they are used within WordPress afterwards is up to others.
