    Hello!

I have a problem with using any template. I’m running WordPress 2.1.3, but when I select the template it just doesn’t work – the blog looks like plain html with all the links and posts one after another all on a white background. Looks like the css file doesn’t work. I tried a new installation of WP 2.1.3 and on that fresh installation I can install any template and use it just fine. Everything seems to work then. But when I import the full database of the previous installation it just goes in the above described state. Please help me change the template to some other, as the current one (default one) is getting too boring.

PS. I just noticed I can’t go back to the default theme after trying to change to some other. Now the same thing happens if I try to go back to the original template (the default one in my case)!

Please anyone help me, I would really like to change this theme!

    Thank you for any suggestions!

  • If I had to guess, it sounds like the URL values found at Options -> General are wrong.

If you can’t get there to fix ’em, try this tutorial: https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/

You got that right man ! Thanks!

That indeed was the problem. It’s because I’m running a ‘test’ copy of my website on my own computers so I can experiment with modifying stuff on it, and not screw up my site. ?? And I must’ve miswritten the address.

    Thanks again and take care!
