    Hi!

Today, when I wanted to make a post on my website (I do it usually once a week), I encountered a problem:

I wrote a topic for for my post and went to write main text in the main box.
After I did that, added keywords, pushed “update” – text in the main box disappeared, while topic remained there on its place.
When I clicked “view post” the was no my written text in the main box, only topic of my post.

Never before it happened to me.
I searched for the answers on the forum, but no solution worked for my case (I updated everything, no addons – extensions…).

How it could be repaired? Thanks a lot!

    Have you tried:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Not just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well such as Cloudflare. If your host provider has a “Purge Varnish” option or if you can ask your provider to flush memcache on your server.
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Dear t-p,

    Thank you for the response.

    1. Sounds complicated for me, but I am ready to try, if you could provide instruction to do all these things.
    2. Deactivated ALL plugins (restarting browser/computer) – no use.
    3. I have MUSICO version 2.0 theme and I didn’t change it. Only one theme, so I cannot really change it anyhow. Could you please describe how I can switch?

None of the things made it work.
It seems that my updated version is disabling me to write post.

Which version of wordpress should I put to make it work?

ALL, including your version 4.7.1, should work.

If it does not work for you, it means you have a site-specific issue.

With that said, your browser may help you identify JavaScript issues or conflicts. Do you have any Javascript errors in the console when looking at the editor page? This article can assist you in doing that diagnosis.

A friend of mine – computer genius helped me out and made all work.
You know, When I bought a website from you – I was caught on a hook with your advertisement of “user friendly websites!” and “look how easy it all is!” and all that… Really? I am not a dummy in computers but I could manage to solve the problem you got me into! Those “recommended” updates you all the time press through to a user create huge stagnation in peoples’ work with their websites.
Definitely I won’t suggest your websites to anyone from now on. Cause those updates that you propose all the time turn daily work on a website into a hell.

That I will ever click the “update” on my website… Thanks, never.
