• We have a small existing client site, in the WP admin there is now no text showing on either the pages or posts using either visual or text, it also shows a word count of Zero.

On the live site the text on every page is showing as it should.

I have tried Safari, Chrome, Firefox and it is the same on all browsers.

I have also checked to see if the text was white on white.

The text just “isnt there” in admin?

I need to sort this out before our client needs to make any updates.

    many thanks dp

Hi – the site has always been OK for the last 12 months and DNS details have not been updated at any point?

    Work thru this.

Pay particular attention to the part about plugins and using your browser to detect javascript errors.

Hi kmessinger – thanks for the signpost, although I am not a “coder” I have worked through most of this and still have the problem in wp-admin.

I have tested on 3 Mac browsers and 2 PC browsers.
I have updated the tom thumb script which needed updating.
I have deactivated all plug ins.
I have removed a few plug ins all together (mainly security ones such as Bullet Proof)
I have checked the HTaccess file (which had already been removed for security.

I havent tried using the browser to detect javascript errors as it is having the same problem on all 5 browsers I have viewed on so presume it isnt a browser issue?

Any further help would be appreciated ??
