Needs more attention: warning and Notices (when debug is set true):
    – Deprecated: Function create_function() is deprecated
    – Notice: Trying to get property ‘name’ of non-object
    – and more Notices …

and a terrible big banner when opening the slider-admin page.
I.m.o. its better to make a good plugin first, before trying to sell premium …

    Hi Jakobuz,

Thank you for the feedback. Did you let us know about the deprecated function and the notices before writing this review? Notices are not uncommon when dealing with the number of options that we offer. And the deprecated function sounds like you’re using a newer version of PHP. If you could let us know what version of PHP you are using and exactly what the notices are, we’d be happy to do some testing to correct these. It is also not uncommon for a free plugin to have a promotional banner for a premium version.

    Thanks for your reply Etoilewebdesign,

I wrote this review because I first looked into the Support Threads, and I saw more questions about ‘Notices’ (even with a solution), but nevermind, you’re right: these are actually just notices.
The deprecated function is generated because of PHP 7.2.0, maybe nothing to do with the functionallity of the plugin itself, but WordPress recommend to run PHP version 7.2 or greater.

I greetly agree with you: it is a lot of work to make a Plugin and sure, you should promote it, it’s only a bit prominent … on every submenu-page of the Plugin.

    Here are the warning/notices:
Deprecated: Function create_function() is deprecated in /wp-content/plugins/ultimate-slider/Functions/EWD_US_Widgets.php on line 77
Notice: Trying to get property ‘name’ of non-object in /wp-content/plugins/ultimate-slider/Main.php on line 173
Notice: Trying to get property ‘slug’ of non-object in /wp-content/plugins/ultimate-slider/Main.php on line 174
Notice: Trying to get property ‘name’ of non-object in /wp-content/plugins/ultimate-slider/Main.php on line 173
Notice: Trying to get property ‘slug’ of non-object in /wp-content/plugins/ultimate-slider/Main.php on line 174

Thumbs up for your answer and support, I changed the review to 4 stars

Thank you for getting back to us and for letting us know what version of PHP you are using. We’ll test that to make sure we handle the deprecated function in the best way possible.

And thank you for letting us know the exact notices you’re getting. We always like to eliminate those wherever possible and that will help us in doing so.
