• I have successfully created a template and rule to display only the post excerpts on the front page but the thumbnail doesn’t display. I am using the YAPB plugin since this is primarily a photo blog – possibly that is part of the problem?

    Thanks for your help!

  • #1 You have hide the thumbnail at add/manage templates, that’s why your thumbnail images are not shown. Please disable the checkbox of “Hide Thumbnail” and your issue will be resolved.

#2 When deactivation of your YAPB plugin, the thumbnail is displayed or not? Please let me know

    Thanks

    Thank you!

#1: I do NOT have Hide Thumbnail selected in Manage Templates.
#2: When I deactivate YAPB and set the Featured Image in the post, the post itself displays the thumbnail but the post summary on the Home page incorrectly displays the 140 px thumbnail at the full image size (667×1000).

If I deactivate WP Posts Master the Home page displays nothing except the template short code, as expected.

Update: I reactivated WPPM and set the thumbnail width and height to 140 and position to left and now the the thumbnail displays properly except that I would like some space between the thumbnail and the summary text.

I’ve added some custom css to the child theme and now there is 10px space between the thumbnail and the excerpt.

    All is fine now.

Glad to know your issue has been resolved.

    Thanks
