    Hello,

I have no top and footer menu, and the option to do so has disappeared.
What’s going on, and how do I fix this?

    I’m using Hueman V3.1

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello mehrdads,

Yes, the menu in WordPress default theme “twenty sixteen” works fine!

Go this link and download a older version and test again.
(If you remember the version That you were working with that , download it.)
    And I search this problem.

    Thank you,

Downgrading doesn’t seem to be working either, so it must be something else.
    Very strange.

The only related notice that WordPress debug outputs is:

[18-Apr-2016 20:28:36 UTC] PHP Notice: Only variables should be passed by reference in /xxx/htdocs/www/wp-content/themes/hueman/option-tree/ot-loader.php on line 98

But I don’t see how this affects the menu, I thought we were done using Option Tree?
Typecore by Alxmedia, which is similar to Hueman, doesn’t have this problem.

    Hi,

    Go to Appearance -> Menu
Click on Manage Locations tab and assign your menu to the locations.

Hello, Denzel Chia, and thank you kindly for your reply.
Not to be rude, but you should really read the topic before you answer.

    Hi,

I am replying to your very first question.

    Hello,

I have no top and footer menu, and the option to do so has disappeared.
What’s going on, and how do I fix this?

    I’m using Hueman V3.1

    Thank you in advance!

I thought you have no idea where to set the menu locations, that’s why I replied to show you the locations.

There is actually no problem with Hueman 3.1.0 in regards to setting up menu, with or without a child theme.
    Please see my screen-cast https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cDfqjt1C7M

    There is no such bug.
It’s ok, if you do not want me to help.
    I won’t bother you again.

    Thank you.

the option to do so has disappeared.

Any help is appreciated, I try to help others in return.
There actually is a problem with my installation of Hueman, and I’m sure it is a combination of several factors that triggers this to happen. That’s what I’m trying to find out here.

    If WordPress says:

Your theme does not natively support menus, but you can use them in sidebars by adding a “Custom Menu” widget on the Widgets screen.

Then I don’t really think it’s very helpful to tell me to assign the menu.
Something triggers this to happen. It’s called a bug.

    Happy bug zapping then!

    By the way..

Hello, Denzel Chia, and thank you kindly for your reply.
Not to be rude, but you should really read the topic before you answer.

Disguising rudeness under a kind tone doesn’t make you polite.
Your comment simply means asking me to shut up and look properly before I answer. Certainly don’t seem to me that you are appreciative of whatever help we are trying to provide.

That’s rude and I feel offended.
All you have to do is to ignore replies that you deem useless.

I’m sorry you feel that way, that’s not my intention.
At least you tried to help. So thank you.

    I’ve been downgrade but failed.

    Hello frank422,

Glad to hear that I’m not the only one.
If you go to menus from the dashboard, do you also get the following message?

Your theme does not natively support menus, but you can use them in sidebars by adding a “Custom Menu” widget on the Widgets screen.

Could you also post a list of plugins that you use?
This could help to pinpoint the cause. Thank you.

    Hello frank422,

Thank you but I’ve already tried that.
Guess I will have to look for another solution.

This might be a long shot but v3.1.1 was released today. You could try upgrading to see if that fixes it.
