    Hello,

I have no top and footer menu, and the option to do so has disappeared.
What’s going on, and how do I fix this?

    I’m using Hueman V3.1

    Thank you in advance!

  • Did you edit anything in functions.php. Your menu are registered there

Hello bdbrown and mrtom414, and thank you kindly for your reply.

I’ve updated Hueman to the last version today, this does not solve the problem.

I’m using Code Snippets to add code to functions.php, but I have already tried to disable all plugins, including Code Snippets. I also tried reinstalling WordPress and Hueman and deleted my child theme. Nothing seems to work.

Of course, I always make sure to clear all caches and WordPress transients.

I’m afraid that all that is left for me to try is to recover one of my backups and just try again I guess. I just wonder what it could be, chances are that the problem eventually returns.

    I also tried reinstalling WordPress

    Including a new database?

No, I just downloaded a fresh copy of WordPress and replaced all files.
I deleted the whole Hueman theme and downloaded a fresh copy and copied it to my WordPress theme directory.

I always maintain my WordPress install, there is no reason for this to happen.
I guess something is wrong with the database.

That’s the only thing I can think of that’s left. If you have a subdomain or other test environment you might try a new install of WP, then load the theme and see what you get. That should pretty much tell you if it’s in the DB.

    Good idea, will try that.
I’m just wondering why other theme’s don’t have the same issue.

I’m just wondering why other theme’s don’t have the same issue.

That would seem to indicate that it’s theme-specific. But just deleting and reinstalling the theme doesn’t remove all the theme related info in the DB.

I decided it would be best to just recover a backup and start updating Hueman from there. All of the problems concerning the menu′seems to be solved.

I really have no idea what could have caused that to happen in the first place. Thank you all kindly for your help. I appreciate it.
