    Hello,

are there any known issues with SSL-integration? We’ve implemented https recently for https://www.mygoal.de and still see lots of visits from our affiliates but no transactions.

Why do I suspect SSL as a reason? The date of implementation and the end of tracking transactions are end of September. We have a certain product for 0,00 that usually leads to many transactions. I’ve already tested it with a self-order and got no transaction too.

Some affiliate links still refer to http-URLs. We redirect every http-request via .htaccess. As far as I can see this does not effect the tracking of visits.

What can I do to find out whether there is an issue and what’s the reason? Is there any individual support for a check on site?

  • SSL Certificate never becomes the reason for the loss of sales and transaction values, but in fact, it increases your online reputations and boosts up product sale.

    Hello Mit,
thanks for your quick answer. Beside the plugin Affiliate there are no other marketing tools running and certainly no SEO tricks. What else might be the reason for not tracking transactions?

    Hi Mathias,
I have tested your website, and the cookie is created correctly. I have tried with https://mygoal.de/?affiliates=XXXXX and https://mygoal.de/?affiliates=XXXXX and in both cases the cookie is created correctly.
From the Visit section you can check if the visits are stored correctly, maybe the problem is with the integration used.
    Kind Regards,
    Antonio B.

    Hi Antonio,
that really helps a lot. Thank you for checking it. Than it might be within Woocommerce integration. If I can figure it out, I’ll leave an update.
    Kind Regards,
    Mathias

Whoops, I didn’t recognize that Woocommerce Integration is from itthinx as well. Could someone please transfer the ticket over there or help me otherwise? As Antonio wrote, the cookie is set by Affiliates properly but transactions in Woocommerce is not recorded.

    Hi Mathias,

Are you using the free version or a premium version? If premium, please use https://www.itthinx.com/submit-a-topic/ to submit a support ticket. If you’re using the free version, we’ll be happy to help here directly ??

I’ve checked with a free product on a test installation where the referral rate is set at 0.2 – even with the price set to 0, it creates a referral correctly (with no amount, but the referral is recorded for the referring affiliate and linked to the order).

I’ve also checked on your site after creating an affiliate and ordering the free product, you can see that for order 6332 the system has recorded a referral correctly (I can it in the affiliate area: Akzeptierte Empfehlungen mit ausstehender Zahlung: 1)

Looks like it’s working fine, I hope this helps but please let us know if you need any further help.

    Hi Kento,

thank you for your help and spending the time. That’s awful support for a free version. Yes, it worked. I can see the record in backend as well. Probably I could not check myself because WordPress/Affiliate recognizes me as the admin, doesn’t it? Anyhow, obviously everything is fine and I apologize for the extra work you had with me. Since the last transaction and our SSL implementation correlated I got suspicious after a while. Sorry, I’m going to order the premium version now. Thanks a lot!

    Hi Mathias,

Thank you very much, great to be able to help ??

By the way if you like the plugin and could spare a minute to rate it here, that would be very much appreciated.

Regarding your test, what could have happened was that maybe you tried to visit an affiliate’s link and placed an order with the same affiliate, that would have been rejected when auto-referrals are disabled (which they are by default). Please see https://docs.itthinx.com/document/affiliates/setup/settings/referrals/ for details on this option if you’re interested.

    Cheers
