I search for a long time for helpers, contributors on development and support on the plugin. The plugin is under GPL, on GitHub and a lot of users will use it. But no users will work on it. That is a problem for me, not enough time to maintain and support it.

    Hi Frank,

Would love to join in and keep this great work of yours active. Will start with keeping watch on issues reported here & github to solve them. Will gradually start contributing to code.

Can’t you have a paid pro version? Where you support some bug fixes. I’d be keen to upgrade to a pro version.

The switch to a pro version is currently not a topic. I think the plugin is free and leave also to in the feature. Maybe different features are useful as premium, but not more. My problem is time. I haven’t enough time to maintain and develop on the plugin, currently. Also I think, the solution is free, lot of users use it and other developers can help to maintain the plugin.

@frank – I understand! Do you think it will be kept updated enough to work with the latest WordPress versions? Or is it not being updated at all?

A update for the current version is sure helpful.
But I like a rewrite of all functions, much more easier to maintain. The plugin had a fast growth in the past and the code document this ??

But if I can find helpers, on development and support, then is much easier to maintain the current version and create parallel a rewrite.

The issue with Free plugins is that they sometimes don’t get developed further. Much better to have a pro version. Look at the Yoast SEO plugin. It was free and now they have a premium version. It needs to be worth your while to maintain. I’m no coder, so can’t really add to the code. I do think it’s a great plugin though and you should earn money from this.

    Anyways, I understand your position.
