I just set up TEC yesterday, essentially for first time after giving up last Spring. Using the Divi Theme. Am up to date on installs. SiteGround is our Webhost. They do their own caching.

Created 6 new events and 6 new different Venues. When I click on an Event the Venue area is completely blank, no address, no map.

When I create the Venues I don’t see anything happening, can’t tell if anything is taking or if I’m doing it correctly. I’ve tried entering street addresses every which way, tried GPS coordinates, Google Plus Codes but nothing happens. I have a custom Google Maps API which was working fine with Divi Maps Module and Timely’s All-in-One Calendar.

I can’t change colors or style anything, duplicate (“Clone”) an Event, set default view to “List” if wish.

PS: I’d already made 3 Events Last Spring but never went Live because of inability to figure out out TEC. So I migrated those yesterday. I cannot un-migrate the new VIP events I just made.

PS Suddenly my website editing has slowed to all a crawl. Have to hit “Save” multiple times to get it to take. Was fine before TEC 6.0.1. Using Divi Theme and SiteGround web hosting.

    Het @gentian16

As it turns out, this is a legit bug between the latest version of Divi and of our plugin!

    Our apologies for the inconvenience.

We’ll work with the good folks at Elegant Themes to sort this through and report back here as soon as a fix is out!

In the meantime, we recommend downgrading your TEC plugins to the previous version.

Let us know how that goes,
    Geoff

How long is this fix likely to take?

I have tried installing earlier plugins but no help,

    Hello GeoffBel,

Thank you for the instructions. I downgraded from 6+ to last v. 5 but was told there was a “fatal error” and instructed to check site functionality.

I cannot find anything wrong (home page looks good, as do a few others, and the plugin looks like its working) but i haven’t put it tested it heavily. I do see the “venue” map now showing, albeit very small, on our event pages.

Hope its safe for me to share this error message after downgrading as per your links and WP’s instructions:

to be clear, you can downgrade to 6.0.0.1 with DIVI and TEC works fine. DO NOT downgrade to 5.

Thanks thewebexpert — i saw your rely too late!

I thought TEC 6 was the problem so I downgraded to 5. Yikes.

And then I had more problems with site today (errors at webhost SiteGround level) so had to roll back to yesterday’s back-up. Not sure if TEC 5 was responsible.

Not sure what to do now. I’m worried that I was rolling back info that had already been migrated from 5 to 6 so its been migrated to 6 but TEC is at 5.

Think I’ll just wait for a TEC and Divi Fix.

@geoffbel do you have a ticket # you can share with Elegant Themes?

    Hey @thewebexpert, @annallock, and @gentian16

We have narrowed down the issue, and have a PR that needs QA at the moment.
The fix will come from our end. The ticket number is TEC-4505 for reference.

If all goes well, it should be part of our next maintenance release (due mid-October).

    Hang in there!
    Geoff

    Thanks!!!

I rolled back to 5 not realizing it was the very latest, minor update that broke things. I got some error messages but couldn’t find what they were referring to. Do you think its safe to update back to 6.0.0.1 since I migrated 3 events from 5 to 6 before installing 6?

It is soo easy to run a backup if you are afraid, also if you have hosting with CPANEL, WPToolkit is built in a free, you can spin up a test subdomain with one click, do the upgrade and test it …
