• Please don’t do this to WordPress. Make it optional NOT CORE!

    It will be a disaster.

    This Gutenberg thing is awful.

Wordpress must remain A CLASSIC VALUE.

I VOTE FOR CLASSIC WORDPRESS for many reasons that are already explained by other people.

First, thanks for taking time to leave a review as it’s important to hear all voices. The classic editor will be available, so that’s a consideration in this. Is there anything you are excited for in the new editing experience?

Although I respect your efforts to build something new, I’m really sorry but I couldn’t find anything good on it. Too much white and you need to guess where things are. I’m sure that my clients will not go into the trouble to find them.

Years ago I decided WordPress against Joomla because WP was easier for my clients.

It’s good to know that classic editor will be there as well because I was about to look for other solutions.

You guys have created an excellent tool that has taken years to get respected even from those who considered it as blogging system and couldn’t see it as cms. Today everyone thinks WP as best cms. It doesn’t need Gutenberg. It’s wonderful as it is. You have already written a GREAT STORY by just creating WordPress and we cannot thank you enough for that.

We need to have our Classic good tool. Don’t take it from us please!

I think you make a valid point @artcolor. WordPress has been ridiculed for years as being ‘just a blogging platform’. It feels like only fairly recently it is actually being taken seriously as a CMS.

Now just as this happens, Gutenberg will be core and everyone will be dissing it again. The global feedback from real users on this just isn’t going to be good.

@johnfrl_15 Back in 2008 when I was talking about WP to people, they were telling me that no wonder I should have been getting paid to promote it so much.

I believed in WP from the very first moment. I’m loyal to it 10 years now. I use only WP for me and my clients.

I just ask from WordPress to give us the option to keep the classic editor.
