Hi, I am a user of Fluid Checkout Lite 4.0.0. Unfortunately, it seems like no matter what I try I cannot override the default Polish plugin translation (which, by the way, is really, really bad — even the name was translated to an equivalent of “controlling the liquids”!). I am using Loco translate and tried putting the file in the custom path (languages/loco/plugins/fluid-checkout-pl_PL.po) as well as the system path (languages/plugins/fluid-checkout-pl_PL.po). Neither overrides the default translations. I have tried clearing all LSCache caches but this did not help at all. Help please? I’d like to correct the translation, currently Polish customers get really confused! I have previously edited the built-in translation, but this will be gone once I update the plugin.
    Loco translate version: 2.6.14

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @acrobot,

Thanks for choosing checkout, and for pointing out the errors in the translation to Polish.

All translations of Fluid Checkout are done automatically using either Google Translate or DeepL, and some errors are expected to happen. We rely on our customers to point out these errors and we fix them as requested.

I have now updated the translation to Polish fixing the name of the plugin and a few other strings.

Regarding the custom translations from Loco Translation not applying correctly, this is due to the way Loco Translate and Fluid Checkout manages the translation files. This issue has been already fixed.

These changes will be available with the next version of the plugin set to be released in about one week.

For now, you can use this beta version below:

@diegoversiani, thank you for the answer! Unfortunately, even though I updated the plugin to version 4.0.1 (and cleared LSCache to be sure), the translations are still not overridden.

fluid-checkout-pl_PL.po (custom)?doesn’t override fluid-checkout-pl_PL.po (author)?– I tested with the “order summary” field.

    Hi @acrobot ,

Last time I checked the translation overriding was working with Loco Translate custom paths.

I’m currently unable to check this as I’m traveling and don’t have my computer with me. I added a task to check this when I get back in about one week.

I let you know of any progress on this.

    Best,
    Diego.
