    Hi Steve,

This feature needs a complete rewrite as data providers seems to changed their APIs.

    Hi Thomas,

No worries, seemed like a really cool feature, hope you can fix it in a future update.

    Hi Steve,

Just a quick update: a new version is out but this does not involve the weather tracking yet. I will wait some days so that I can be sure that the new version is working fine, after this I plan to update weather tracking in the plugin.

    Hi Steve,

You may misunderstood me: there is currently NO progress with weather tracking but it is now much higher on the dev list ??

Good news, I was able to quickly fix weather tracking in the plugin. I plan to release v1.3.2 next Monday, it will contain the update. You will need to register for a free API key at openweathermap.org to this feature to work.

seems to work fine with http but think theres a problem with the geolocate plugin when using https as the weather data doesnt seem to match whats outside, might be to do with this: https://www.geoplugin.com/webservices/ssl

There might be a problem because my plugin uses currently the native file_get_contents() PHP call to download GEO and weather data. I will change this to wp_remote_get(), maybe this will give for you and other better compatibility
