It seems that several people here had a similar issue, but there was no answer yet.

I want to install a duplicator backup via Xampp on Windows 11.
During migration all tests are successful, but in the end after step 4 nothing is created (440 error). I guess that is because Windows 11 doesn`t allow write permissions.
I already deactivated UAC via System and Regedit, I gave all users in folder an subfolder all permission: Nothing worked.

    Is there any solution?

@emiklei What is the permission error related to, to the files or to the database?

There is no error message until the end.

All tests are successfull (also database connection), but when you click on “admin login” in the last step, you got a 404 error. And the files are not created as the should have been when you go to the folder (database data are created).

@emiklei you can try to do a manual extraction. For more information, please see the following link:

@devdavidam: No, that doesn`t help I have already tried that.

There are the extracted files then, but not the structure of a working wordpress page. So I guess Duplicator needs write permissions anyway because it did some things more than just extracting the files.

@emiklei what kind of structure does it have?

@devdavidam : The unpacked files are just the duplicator folder and 4 other files, not the whole wordpress files.

@emiklei could you please check the archive? Maybe it’s corrupted and contains only the files you mentioned. If so, you need to download the package again and make sure it’s not getting corrupted during download. If it’s already corrupted on the server, then please create a new package.
