Nobody can logout

  • Installed and activated Ultimate Member, changed some settings . The first thing I found
    was I couldn’t log out as Admin.
    I have a separate members account that I use for testing.
    Going on the wifes computer I was able to Login but not Logout.
    I have temporally deactivated the plugin but would love to use it.
    Please advise

  • Hi John, I’m not UM support but through maybe I can help you figure this out.

    Sounds like a caching problem on your server.

    Did you try other devices such as tablets or smart phones, and different browsers in case it was a brower caching issue. Do you have a cache plugin installed or something like that.

    I had a similar issue with another plugin with logouts and it turned out to be a cache plugin that I had to disable.

    Also at the time, some people suggested contacting my server host to see what cache settings they had setup, but I did not have to go that far.

    Thanks for your reply. I also have a multisite on the same server, I’m at
    present setting up a development site to try and isolate the problem without breaking My main site.

    Are you able to logout when you add /logout/ to your domain name?

    Problem sorted , it was a plugin that was causing the problem, topic can be closed
