Hi and help! All themes and plugins are up to date and our site runs WordPress 6.0.2; OS is Windows 7.

Our site uses WPForms lite and our Contact page form no longer accepts the reCaptcha verification. It returns a “This field is required” message even after checking the box.

Research reveals that the NoCaptcha ReCaptcha for WooCommerce plugin is causing the issue. Once it is deactivated, the WPForms form’s verification checkbox works. BUT I no longer have protection on our WooCommerce Account page where I had been inundated with fake sign ups before adding the above plugin.

I contacted Mail Optin who developed the NoCaptcha plugin but was told they no longer support it and haven’t updated it in 2 years. There doesn’t seem to be another reCaptcha plugin for WooCommerce or its Account sign up page.

My question is: do you know of a solution? Can you recommend another plugin that will work with WPForms and provide security on our WooCommerce Account page?

Although I manage the site for our 2 person business, I am not overly technical so would sure appreciate any not-too-technical advice you can offer!

    Thank you for your help,

    Linda

    UPDATE
Hey, good news! I did more research and found a different plugin “LogIn No Captcha Recaptcha” that said it provided reCaptcha for WP login, WooCommerce sign ups and account page. Sounded too good to be true, but I checked it out and gave it a try on our stage site. It worked!! Easy to set up and the verification reCaptcha appeared on both WP login and our WooCommerce Account page!

After weeks of frustration, this feels terrific!! Hope it helps someone else out.

    Hi Linda,

Thanks for heads up and we are glad to know that you were able to resolve the issue here.

May I go ahead and mark this thread as resolved so it will be helpful for others too?

Thanks, and please let me know if you are still facing any issue.

    Hi Nikhil,

    You’re most welcome!

Unfortunately, another issue did come up when I tried this on our live site. The reCAPTCHA does not appear on the WooCommerce My Account page although it does on the WordPress log in page.

Any idea why this could be happening? I’ve tried clearing the cache several times, tried a different browser and restarted the computer. The stage site is a copy of the live one with the same plugins and WP version so I’m truly stumped. Or is this something I should take up with the plugin developers?

Any suggestions are welcome at this point … I’m pulling my hair out!

    Linda

    Hi @irenelinda,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing here!

When you get the chance, could you please help me with the form URL where you are facing this issue?

This way I can check the web console logs and suggest you further.

    Kindly,

    Hi Nikhil,

I appreciate your trying to help further. The page where the reCaptcha is not appearing is https://mygoforthegreen/my-account, which is a WooCommerce page.

I’ve been doing more research and have learned that a line of code is missing from the My Account page on the live site. The missing code is:
    <script src='https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js?onload=submitDisable' id='login_nocaptcha_google_api-js'></script>

So not sure this is a WPForms issue any longer. If it isn’t, please let me know and I’ll search for solutions elsewhere. I’m sure you have lots of your own WPForms issues to resolve! ??

    Thank you,
    Linda

    Hi @irenelinda,

I apologize, but we don’t support any integration with WooCommerce, mainly because they’re heavily integrated with their own form solutions.

If you need forms to work within WooCommerce, I’d suggest contacting the WooCommerce team directly (https://woocommerce.com/contact-us/) to be sure you can find an option that has integration compatibility with their system.

    Thanks,

Thanks for getting back to me, Nikhil, and letting me know about WP Forms and WooCommerce. I appreciate the links you sent and will pursue them. I’m also working with a support contact to see if we can do something with the code I mentioned as a workaround. If that works out, I’ll let you know here since it could help other WP Forms users who also use WooCommerce! I’d like to stick with WP Forms if possible … I love it!

    Linda

    Hi @irenelinda,

We are glad to know that you love our plugin and yes, please feel free to share your feedback and suggestions ??

    Have a good one ??

Hey @irenelinda – We haven’t heard back from you in about 4 weeks, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!

Hi Prashant and thanks for your message. I have not forgotten about this, just been buried in other stuff! I am working with a helpful WordPress guy on trying to get the code into our live site to see if it fixes the issue with the form. If you could leave this thread open a little longer, I’d like to post the results of the “experiment” in case it can help others. Hopefully I can get it tested before next week.

    Sound good?

    Linda

Hey @irenelinda – Sure, please let us know how it goes.

Well, it’s been much longer than I’d hoped to get back to this. I’m afraid I don’t have any helpful suggestions to offer. We haven’t managed to correct the issue of WP Forms and WooCommerce with the code we tried. Since we’re developing a new site, I’ve decided to leave this issue alone for now.

Thanks for the help you offered here and for the suggestions you made…much appreciated! ??

    Linda

Hey @irenelinda – You’re most welcome, and if you have any questions, please feel free to reachout.
