    Hi,

    I have been using your great plugin since long time but today I have came to know that my all taxonomies (categories, tags, product taxonomies etc.) are indexed in google even I have set them to NOINDEX in Yoast search appearance settings. In page source it is also showing meta name=”robots” content=”index, follow,

    Please check at https://bit.ly/2NIvA8a

    Besides clearing all caches I have tried changing themes, disabling yoast and some other plugins and enabling again, but it did not change to NOINDEX. I have lot of tags, categories and other product taxonomies.

    Need your help to solve this issue.
    Will be truly grateful.
    Thanks.

    @pktractorsinfo We’re sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue on your site.

    We checked on the URL you provided and inspected the source code and do see that the robots meta tag is set to noindex for this tag (see image here):

    <meta name="robots" content="noindex, follow">

    We also checked on the second URL you included for ‘page I need help with’ and also see that the robots meta tag is also set to noindex for that URL as well (see image here).

    ?Can you please confirm you are using the most recent version of Yoast SEO, version 15.8? You can learn more about updating here: https://yoast.com/help/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

    Also, can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.6.1? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/

    If you update to the most current version of WordPress and Yoast SEO, does this resolve the issue?

    Hello,

    I had solved the issue. Nothing worked through you mentioned. I had to uninstall your plugin completely from database too. Then installed it again which resolved the issue.

    Thanks.
