noindex on media urls not working

    Hi – I just noticed some of my media urls are showing up in Google.

    I checke dthe page and they are index,follow even though I have “Show Media in search results” set to no.

    Please advise.

    Hello,

    You mentioned that you do not want your media files to show up in search results and you have the correct settings. Can you please share the URL of a media file that still shows as index, follow?

    Hi – I emptied the wp_yoast_indexable table in phpMyAdmin and then ran “Optimize SEO Data” in WP dashboard -> SEO -> Tools

    That’s done the trick.
