    Hello,

I hope all you Guys are doing well. I am Ali. I have a question and I would highly appreciate you if you could help me with the answer.

My question is: I am designing some pages for my website that then I embed the content of those pages in my other website’s pages, I mean that I have some pages designed for my website that I don’t want they are indexed by search engines, just I need those page’s
Contents to be embed in my other pages. I hope that I could explain it well! ??

So if I want the origin page isn’t indexed by search engines, should I choose “no index” and “don’t show in search results” for that page?

When I put a page in no index and don’t show in search result, then I embed that page in another page will the embedded page in new page will be indexed? Actually I want to have a page that by alone that page isn’t indexed but when I embed that page in another page in the new page it is shows in search results and indexed, how can I exactly achieve that result with your well-established plugin?

As an example I design a page called A, I don’t want that page A indexed and shown in search results but when I embed the page A in page B , the page A’s contents in page B will be indexed and will be shown in search results? I want something like that. The page A by it’s alone no indexed but when embed in page B it can be indexed.

I appreciate you so much for your kind assist.

    With all my Respect,
    Ali

    Hi @golamminoo

    Thank you for using Yoast!
With our plugin, you can choose a specific page/URL you want to noindex. This article will discuss how to do that: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-do-i-noindex-urls/

The noindexed pages (although not indexed by search engines) can still be accessed online so its content can be embedded somewhere else. We are not sure how you are embedding the content to your pageB, but you can set pageB to indexand your pageA to noindex. The article above explains more.

    Dear jerparx,
    Hello,

Thank you so much for your informative reply and the link included. I read the text through your given link and I just have two further questions:

    1. As I have written earlier in my first message, I have two pages: A and B and I embed the page A in B (using Elementor Page builder), since I want to noindex the page A then should I nofollow that page (A) too? I mean that since I don’t want that page A be shown on search results then if I also put it on nofollow, is that good idea?

    2. Actually I want the page A and all its links be indexed and followed WHEN it’s inside the page B, so if I put the page A, on both noindex and nofollow, after putting inside the page B (which is indexed and followed), then page A inside page B can be indexed and followed by the search engines?

I want page A ALNOE noinxed and nofollowed but when its inside the page B, then indexed and followed, is that possible by the above method?

Once again thank you so much for your time and support.

    Best Regards,
    Ali

We are not able to say what exactly you should do but we do know that if you select nofollow, it will tell Google to not follow the links on the page and apply the link juice to other pages. This can interfere with Google’s ability to crawl your site and understand how all the links on your site are related.

We are not sure if that is something you want to do but we do have a guide that goes into more detail about nofollow here: https://yoast.com/which-pages-noindex-or-nofollow/

We are not sure if that is or is not possible. We do know you can nofollow and noindex specific pages using the Yoast SEO Metabox but we are not familiar with Elementor and are not sure if they have some kind of tool that can apply noindex and nofollow links when a page is embedded.

We suggest contacting Elementor for more information to see if they have that feature. They may have a way to extend Yoast’s ability to noindex/nofollow specific pages and apply that to embedded pages using Elementor’s modules.
