    Hello,
    With version 7.0, each time I add an image: for example bluSky.png, it is automatically renamed to BluSky-1.png.

    It is extremely painful and, above all, it is useless.
    How can I deactivate this feature?
    I reset the database and nothing has changed.

    This is what WordPress does when there is a duplicate image name. Since there cannot be two images in the same folder with the same name, the ‘-1’ is added to the end. Remove the file with the same name and WordPress will not change the uploaded file’s name.

    Except that the folder in which I post this image is empty! There is no possible duplication …

    Unfortunately, we using the recommend WordPress function that determines the file name to use during the upload process and I do not know why it is forcing the name change to your file.
