Currently I cannot see how I can limit a user in WP to only be able to access the booking plugin, without being an Admin and therefore being able to access everything on the site.

Can I create a user that can login to the site but limit their access to only modify the bookings?

    Hi,

sorry, to edit bookings the user has to be an admin. We are working on a better way to manage user rights.

I would be very happy to pay for the plugin if you can add in that functionality.

Could we not solve this via wp role management?

We are planning to enable the user role ‘editor’ to manage bookings. Would that be ok for you?

    That would be fine.

has it been done ? since I’m facing the same problem

    Sorry, not yet

I have used the User Role Editor plugin to address this issue.

What I did was to create a special role for the user concerned and then limit that role as to the abilities it had so that it could only perform certain tasks.

Whilst that did not limit the user concerned to only being able to see the Advanced Booking Calendar plugin, it did mean that their abilities were then limited to a degree I was reasonably happy with – for example, they are not able to edit or delete anybody else’s pages or posts or to add or delete plugins.

I agree, however, that it would be better to have a special role that could be allotted to enable users to manage the Advanced Booking Calendar plugin and nothing else.
