    Hello.

I have tested with a changing the default profile form that non-admin roles can not edit some of the fields in their profile. They can edit the predefined ones like facebook, website url, and other socials. But the ones that I have made like text boxes and text areas when a subscriber hovers over the text box the mouse becomes a red “no entry” sign, in text areas, it just doesn’t allow you to click.

I have checked that “can user edit this field” is checked.

Also in the “user roles” all the roles are able to “can edit their profile”

I’ve deactivated all other plugins and no change.

I’ve changed to Twenty One theme – and no change.

    What am I missing?

This issue sounds like this UM 2.6.10 bug “Profile form fields disabled in edit mode”

You can try the UM version 2.6.11 alpha where this UM issue has been fixed.

    ZIP File for download:
    https://github.com/ultimatemember/ultimatemember/archive/refs/heads/develoment/2.6.11.zip

    Installation:

WP Plugins: Installed Plugins: Deactivate UM 2.6.10
WP Plugins: Add New: Upload the ZIP file with UM 2.6.11 alpha or beta

cPanel FileManager or FTP Client: Rename folders:
    .../wp-content/plugins/ultimate-member
    to .../ultimate-member-2.6.10

    .../wp-content/plugins/ultimatemember-development-2.6.11
    to .../ultimate-member

WP Plugins: Installed Plugins: Activate UM 2.6.11
