    Hello everyone,

I have a site where for some reason I can login but other users cannot login unless they are WP Admins.

If I go to allsaintsepping.org/wp-admin it is redirected to allsaintsepping.org/login automatically. If I put my username and password in then I am taken to the WP dashboard as expected. However if I login as a test user who is, say, an Editor, they do not go to the dashboard.

This is very frustrating as I want Editors to be able to login and make changes to posts etc.

I have tried turning off all the plugins and then re-enabled until I identified that it is Ultimate Member that causes the problem.

Can you please help me resolve this issue?

    Thanks for your help,

    John

  • You Mean..Editors can login but not to the dashboard …or editors can′t
    Definitely login.
If Editors can Login but not to the dashboard, you need to give them permitions in the roll editor in Plugin Settings , and ofcourse asign that roll to editors ..if your issue continues you can try theyre Paid Support, they will fixit Faster

Sorry, yes they can login, no they can’t see the dashboard.

What do you mean by the statement “give them permitions in the roll editor in Plugin Settings” in “If Editors can Login but not to the dashboard, you need to give them permitions in the roll editor in Plugin Settings , and of course asign that roll to editors”?

    Thanks mate,

    Hi,

The reason it redirects to login page is there is an option in UM settings > access tab which has an option which has been turned on that precents guests from accessing wp-admin.

If you want editors to be redirected to admin you will need to create a UM editor role and set login redirect to wp-admin.

    Thanks
