Non-blogish looking theme?

  • I’m trying to find a clean 2-column theme that doesn’t look like a blog. I need a setup with categories where each page would open separately, you know like in a regular website with <h1> as a page title, folders, e.g. reviews/ advice/ and clean descriptive urls instead of a post number. I’m new with WP, so if you point me to the right direction, I’ll really appreciate it.

  • Any of that is possible with many, many themes. Any theme can be very customized to look however you want. And using pretty permalinks turns URL’s into what you want.

    This section of the Codex will give you a lot of very useful basic information.

    Using themes will help you pick a good theme for your needs.

    Once you’ve read through that, just browse through the themes and see what you like. You can find two column themes using the themes filter function.
