• I am trying to integrate wordpress into my website design to function for news headlines and content. When I change the permalink settings to anything other than default, the content will no longer show on my webpage. Instead I receive the message “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.”

Making no changes to the code, I can toggle wordpress settings back to default permalink, and the content will show. With any setting, I can browse the base wordpress blog with no errors.

  • Hi,

WordPress is using url re-writing to generate link with meta-information as https://mywebsite.com/mypost/ or /thedate/thepost/

When choosing an other option than default, WordPress try to create / write in the file .htaccess in your wordpress directory.

You need to add writing right to your directory / .htaccess file.
