Non e-commerce

  • Hello,

    Could somebody please tell me is there is a Plugin that would allow me to add products and sub-products to a WP site – as if I was creating an ecommerce site BUT without the actual ‘price’, ‘shipping’ ‘add to cart’ and all that stuff as I wont’ be selling online. In other words, I want to creat a sort of brochure site to display some products with descriptions etc but without the ecommerce part. I’ve had a look at WP e-commerce which is great but FAR too complex for what I’m trying to do.

  • Couldn’t you just use a post (or Page) for each product?

    Hello,

    yes, I could but it’s not an ideal solution. If you have a look at sites created with WP e-commerce there is a sidebar widget detailing all products and groups of products. Each group page has images attached and each product page is nicely laid out in a clear and elegant way with descriptions, prices, etc. But, like I said, WP ecommerce is far too complex and I don’t want to sell anything, just diaplay each product. It’s difficult to describe and I’ll actually surprised no-one has thought of creating a Plugin like this (unless of course I simply havent yet found it).
