non english URL is weird when copying/ sharing

So I have a site with Tamil (and another with Arabic) posts, the URL of the posts looks fine. but when sharing the link or copying and pasting it somewhere it turns the non English characters into something like this, {0%AE%9F%E0%AF%81%E0%AE%95%E0%AE%B3%E0%AF%8D}. according to my small research its gotta do something with encoding I guess? but couldn’t find a way to fix it. pls help
p.s: changing the permalink to English works, but I need it in the respective languages.
