    Hi,

I installed your free plugin, very simple and intuitive, I noticed that you find the Google Font cookies, Google Map, Facebook, when in reality they are not there.
Google fonts are saved on the site server, the map does not exist and not even Facebook, this on various domains.
Checking through the browser Opera "Inspect item" I do not see any active cookies, I wanted to understand if there are other verification methods to be sure that there are no cookies.
I wanted to point out that on the "Cookie Scan" page there are no cookies
Instead on the "Description Cookie, Service Description" page I find them in the list.
On the cookie page created by the plugin, in the cookie list "purpose awaiting investigation" some cookies, and with these I am in the banne the marketing voice when with another plugin do not track them.
    How should I behave?

    Thanks

    Hi,
Can someone tell me why the plugin detects cookies that are not on the site?

    Hi @gresio64,

Aside of the first-party cookies set on your own domain (which are detected during the Cookie Scan), if you select that your website uses third-party services such as YouTube/Facebook/etc, the third-party cookies set by these services will be fetched from CookieDatabase.org and synced to your Cookie Policy.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    Hi,

You're right about what you say.
But on the site the Google fonts are deactivated and uploaded to the server.
    Google Map is not present.
    Facebook is not present
However, during the configuration in the "Description Cookie, Service Description" pages, see third-party services but in reality they are not present, in this case I can eliminate the items

    Thanks

    Hi @gresio64,

If you are certain that these services are not used on your site, make sure to untick these as used third-party services & social media under Wizard > Consent > Services. You can always decide to hide a certain cookie or service on your Cookie Policy if you are positive that these are not used on your website (Cookie descriptions > Expand the service it concerns > Untick “show on Cookie Policy”).

Specifically concerning Google Fonts API: perhaps you could check whether your Page Source contains any preconnect/preload to Google Fonts which causes it to still get loaded? Perhaps the currently used theme inserts something related to the Google Fonts API?

We also have an article concerning the best practices & recommendations for the Cookie Scan, please find this attached as well: https://complianz.io/cookie-scan-results/

    Kind regards,
    Jarno
