Non-existent pages not redirecting to 404
-
I’m trying to create a page named “1” on my website under the parent “problems”
https://doubleroot.in/problems/1/
But after publishing it, wordpress renames it to https://doubleroot.in/problems/1-2/, which i think means that the link already exists. But it doesn’t. When I open that link, I do not get a 404 error. Instead, I get redirected to https://doubleroot.in/problems/ , though the link in the address bar remains https://doubleroot.in/problems/1/ and the breadcrumb shows “Home ? Problems ? Page 1”.
(You can try visiting the link above.)
This happens for any number I put in place of ‘1’. How can I go about fixing this problem?
Any help is appreciated.
